Fishbowl Inventory

Fishbowl Inventory requested an animated visual that communicated the idea of stepping back, seeing the big picture, and understanding the journey toward a goal. I designed a set of three Illustrator artboards to build the animation: a fully illustrated open map with travel elements, a blank map back side used for folding, and a branded back panel featuring the Fishbowl logo. These assets were created and organized in Illustrator, then brought into After Effects where I animated the unfolding map and each individual element to give the scene life and movement. The final result was a polished looping MP4 that the marketing team could use across digital materials.

Problem

The team needed a branded animated asset that could visualize the concept of big picture thinking in a simple and engaging way. They did not have existing graphics that represented planning, direction, or goal setting, and static images lacked the motion and clarity needed to bring the concept to life.

Solution

I created a flat-illustration map design with icons such as a compass, location marker, mountains, and navigation tools. Using the three Illustrator artboards, I prepared the artwork for animation, including a foldable back side for the unfolding effect. Once imported into After Effects, I animated the map opening and each element appearing in sequence to reinforce ideas of progress and direction. The final animated loop delivered a clean, branded, and engaging visual that aligned with the message of seeing the bigger picture.
