Mila

I’m Mila. I’m a designer, professional overthinker, and firm believer that “because it looks cool” is not quite enough of a reason to put something somewhere.

I love solving puzzles. Whether the problem is design, a challenging game, or everyday life, I tend to approach it the same way: figure out what isn’t working, understand why, and find a way through it. If there’s a will, there’s a way.

I wear a lot of hats. I’m a mom, fur-mama, wife, entrepreneur, designer, and line producer. I’m always challenging myself to grow, both as a person and as a professional, which means my skill set is constantly evolving. If there’s something I need to know, or something that would make me better at what I do, I learn it. That curiosity and willingness to figure things out is largely how my career has developed over the years.

One of my favorite thoughts on design comes from Don Norman: “Good design fits our needs so seamlessly that it serves us without drawing attention, whereas bad design screams out its flaws.” That idea has always stuck with me. Design can look beautiful, but there should always be a reason behind the choices we make.

Outside of work, I’m a nerd at heart. I’m an art lover, film connoisseur, video game enthusiast, music junkie, bookworm, animal lover, crafting addict, and a vault of random facts and quotes. Basically, I’m interested in far too many things, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
